The Lure Of A Tour

I began to take it easy some time ago.
And settled into the rigours of lethargy as if born to it.
But almost six months have passed since I last went on tour.
Noblesse oblige.
I must heed my duties.
A regal tour of Karnataka is being planned:
The ancient and abandoned city of Hampi;
The princely splendour of Mysore.

I will be without my usual entourage – Anu is spending Vishu with his family.
But Robin, a trusted palace courtier, shall accompany me.
Together, we will explore these wonders,
With a favoured guide and driver.
