Hartal Haiku


Bandh: streets lie empty.

Monsoon sickness entraps me.

My camera sleeps.


Powerless, lights dim.

Rain drenched cables fall silent.

Now, soliloquy.

  2. yeah; hartal drains every bit of energy out of you. Especially when one is staying away from home in a place where food comes from restaurants; where there is no fridge for bread and butter. No kitchen or stove for tea or even boiled water.
