"Wading neck deep in a swamp, your revolver is neither use nor ornament until you have had time to clean it" Mary H. Kingsley (1897)

November Mornings

November mornings bring the return of a milder climate.

Monsoon battered shrubs come back into flower.

Lightness seems to pervade everyone and everything.

Of course that’s how I like to start my mornings – when I can persuade the neighbours to join in.

That had me tip tapping along. It’s a lovely warm November morning here today. The night time temperature didn’t fall below 16º, about average for a May/June night. It is expected to reach 18º. Many thanks for your quality control comments.

  3. Those purple flowers {are they orchids?} are stunning.

    • No, I don’t think they are orchids – they seem to arise from a shrub stem. I will take a closer look when I’m next in the Seminary gardens.
