    • “A doozy”?

Could you run that by me again – in the Queen’s English?!

It’s been suggested that I may not speak the Queen’s English, but according to the New Oxford AMERICAN dictionary:
    doozy |ˈdoōzē| (also doozie)
    noun ( pl. -zies) informal
something outstanding or unique of its kind : it’s gonna be a doozy of a black eye.
ORIGIN early 20th cent.: of unknown origin.

    • Ah, a quaint term from our colonial cousins!

Thank you – and, as I believe you say: “Have a nice day!”
