  1. That’s the first time I’ve seen a photo video of a Caruthusian monastery for women. It does seem very much like the one at Chartreuse (for men) that is depicted in the film, “Into Great Silence”.

    • I know so very little about the Carthusian order, other than Thomas Merton’s oft repeated desire to join them for a deeper silence.

      Somewhat to my shame, although I bought a copy of “Into Greater Silence” over a year back I have yet to sit down and watch it. Thank you for that timely reminder!
