  1. What sort of uniform is that? Does the film have a working title? This has been fascinating.

    • The boys are wearing white dhotis and black blazers – an unusual though eye-catching combination of styles. With their black jackets, they look rather like a group of young Indian advocates (lawyers) about to break into song and dance!

      I have no idea of this film’s working title or plot but the set has become Fort Cochin’s temporary focus of attention for both local inhabitants and European tourists. The film crew constructing the sets are remarkably friendly and patient with us all.

    They look elegant even if the blazers and dhotis are an odd pairing. I wish that we still could watch films like the Astair ones…
