Dalila watches Babu, her cousin and my electrician-cum-plumber, as he wires Christmas lights around our roof terrace;
Anu washes the terracotta pots.

    It looks as though you are letting your light shine. What a festive place to celebrate.

    • Thank you – though letting my party-light shine doesn’t always come naturally to me!

  2. Wow! Anu knows how to set the scene for a party. I could have done with him here. I see your throne has been installed. Have a wonderful Christmas.

    • Shaji, Dalila, Anu and Babu have been working for days to get the roof terrace back into action after the ravages of our two monsoons, the construction of new wooden blinds, and a full-house repaint.

      Tomorrow we are expecting forty-two guests for our Christmas evening party!
