A detail from yesterday’s image re-examined
“Sorrow is hushed into peace in my heart like the evening among the silent trees.”
From Rabindranath Tagore’s Stray Birds: verse 10.
The quotation was suggested by S Etole at Just… a moment
This is the original image
Your India is such a place of beauty through your eyes.

A picture I had posted the previous day!
Do please pay attention at the back of the class!

Yes, I know, and all lovely as usual, but why? Is there some interesting detail that becomes visible?

I felt that the cropped and more detailed version somehow shows the light in a different way, especially as it shines through the leaves. The colourful dress of the two ladies in the far distance also becomes more apparent.
With fewer pixels, the second image put me in mind of an Impressionist painting.. Alternatively, this re-posting could be ascribed to self-indulgent whimsy!
