A beautiful, dreamlike image. How I wish I could share in it.

    • It was a beautiful morning of sunshine yesterday; a joyful break from this year’s torrential monsoon.
I’m so sorry that you find the logistical problems of revisiting India too daunting…

    One of your many best!
Are you glad to be home?

    • Thank you. I am very relieved to have stopped living out of a suitcase, and to know that I’ll be sleeping in my own bed for a few weeks – but I had a great time catching up with kind friends and dear family

  4. Are they burning leaves? And are you off on your travels again before very long?

    August 5, 2013 at 9:22 pm

    • Burning leaves? My dear, the leaves have all been swept away by hideously heavy rain. I’ve barely been out of the house the last few days: the monsoon is unseasonably torrential!

I hope to visit a friend’s installation at an art gallery in Chennai later this month, though Cochin airport is presently closed due to flooding. Next month should see me travelling further afield..

      • It rained quite heavily here today too. I had to rush out to get the washing in. I don’t suppose you can get your smalls out on a line at all at this time of year.

        • I refuse to “get my smalls out” for anyone or anything, no matter what time of year.
Such matters are best left to one’s dhobi…
