Sir is: Back From Touring His Estates

________________

To general rejoicing, I am returned from my Malabar trip, having graced Calicut, Wayanad, Kannur and Alakode with the august presence.

Babu, my trusty mahout, was guide and bearer.

Anu, my houseboy, supervised accommodation and refreshments en route. He also strewed rose petals upon my path, as circumstance demanded.

I travel with minimum fuss, having Spartan disregard for comfort and formality. Two suitcases and five trunks were quite adequate for my modest needs.

  1. The hand that strews the rose petals carries the same fragrance as the sole that crushes them underfoot. Blessed … to be a blessing.

    • Well, this soul spent twilight on Calicut beach, where we all watched a magnificent sunset. That was certainly a blessing!
