I have fond memories of Ooty! Did you arrive via steam train?

No, steaming car! We hope to try the narrow-gauge railway today.
The night-time temperatures plunge down towards zero but the days are fortunately warm and sunny..

This is breathtaking in so many ways.

The hill stations of India are renown for their beauty – but Ooty has to be amongst the very best..

Utterly entrancing. Narrow gauge-railway – what fun.

It looks as if we won’t have enough time to take a trip on the narrow-gauge railway – so now I have the perfect reason to return!

Now tell me honestly, do you tweak the colour even a little bit?
February 15, 2012 at 6:52 pm
I didn’t have to, but I do keep my camera’s colour settings on “vivid”.
I took the picture during the late afternoon when the sun was still shining brightly on the hills but the valleys were in shadow. I am also zooming in a fair amount, whilst the exposure readings are being taken for the middle distance, which gives the hills less definition and slight over-exposure.
