    Yes, I know, and all lovely as usual, but why? Is there some interesting detail that becomes visible?

    • I felt that the cropped and more detailed version somehow shows the light in a different way, especially as it shines through the leaves. The colourful dress of the two ladies in the far distance also becomes more apparent.

      With fewer pixels, the second image put me in mind of an Impressionist painting.. Alternatively, this re-posting could be ascribed to self-indulgent whimsy!
